Raw sharks can be fished by members who have level 76 Fishing or higher. Sharks give 110 Fishing experience per catch. Sharks are fished with harpoons from Net/Harpoon fishing spots, but they can also be fished bare-handed which requires a Fishing level of 96, a Strength level of 76, and partial completion of Barbarian Training. Players with an Agility level of at least level 76 have a chance of catching two sharks at once, with this chance increasing until level 99 Agility.
After the fish attempts to spit the hook, it has tired itself out enough so that Santiago can begin to pull in the fish. The fish begins circling the boat, its circles getting smaller and smaller as Santiago pulls in a little line at a time. This takes hours, and Santiago sees black spots and feels like he might faint. He persists, however, and after promising to recite 100 Hail Mary's and Our Father's, Santiago begins to get the fish close enough to ready his harpoon.

Just after this, the fish is close enough so that when it swims under the boat, Santiago realizes that the fish is much, much bigger than he'd thought. The fish is very tired, and Santiago questions his own strength as well. The fish finally gets close enough for Santiago to use the harpoon, and the old man puts everything he possibly can into thrusting the harpoon through the fish's heart. The fish dies, and its blood pools out into the water around them. Santiago lashes the fish to the boat, which is almost too small for the tremendous fish. Santiago sets sail for home, wondering if his favorite baseball player, Joe DiMaggio, would be proud of him.
Santiago has only one hour to feel the glory of the biggest catch of his life before the first shark comes. The first shark was a Mako, a Dentuso, and Santiago manages to harpoon and kill the shark, but not before the shark tears 40 pounds of meat from the fish. Additionally, the shark sinks away and dies with the harpoon still lodged in its head, so Santiago loses the harpoon as well. Despite that, Santiago again wonders if DiMaggio would be proud of how well he killed the shark.
Galanos, or shovelhead sharks, are the next to arrive, and they come in pairs and attack Santiago's fish. Santiago kills these sharks with his makeshift harpoon and curses them as they sink into the ocean. Santiago is tremendously tired, the most tired he's ever been in his life. Another shovelhead arrives to feed on his fish, and Santiago kills that shark as well, but the blade of his knife snaps off. Sharks continue to come and tear away at his fish, and Santiago beats them away with a club he'd made from an old broken oar. The sharks continue to come even after dark, each time taking away a piece of his greatest catch. In the night, Santiago tries to fight them off, but knows it is futile. He loses the club and is forced to use the tiller, but at that point the sharks stop coming because there is nothing left of the fish to feed on.
On the fourth day of Santiago's struggle to catch the biggest fish of his life, he finally succeeds in bringing the fish in after a tremendously rough wake up just before dawn. Santiago brings the fish close enough to the boat that he can harpoon the fish through the heart. After lashing the fish to the boat, that is almost too small to carry the fish, Santiago heads for home. Unfortunately, it only takes an hour for the first shark to track him, a denuso, or Mako shark, that Santiago has admiration for. Santiago spends the rest of the day and night fighting off shovelhead sharks, or galanos, that tear away a piece of his fish each time they strike. By the time Santiago makes it to shore, there is nothing left of his fish but the skeleton. Santiago drags his ship's mast to his home in a way that mimics Christ's struggle to carry his cross to his Crucifixion.
CAVERN WITH SUBMERGED RUINS: The current sweeps Lara forward into a large, flooded cavern. Keep swimming forward. As you approach the submerged ruins, a hammerhead shark emerges from behind the right side of the building. There's no harpoon gun in this game, so you'll need to avoid the shark for now. Notice the two small, square openings about halfway up the front of the building. Swim through the left opening and climb out of the water. Place the PHAROS KNOT in the receptacle. (screenshots)

Harpoon guns can only be made in the tool workshop on Iliya Island (Iliya Island 4-1) and are required for Harpoon Fishing. They cannot be repaired or enhanced. You will also need a Fishing Boat or Cog Ship (harpoons cannot be used on Epheria ships). 2ff7e9595c
